Ryan P. Earnest

Ryan Earnest is President and Chief Executive Officer of First National Community Bank (FNCB) and First Chatsworth Bankshares, Inc. (FCBI). With a banking career spanning over three decades, Earnest began his career in 1996 and joined the organizing team of Heritage First Bank in 2002. He was named President in 2008 and Chief Executive Officer in 2017. Following the 2021 merger of Heritage First Bancshares, Inc. and First Chatsworth Bankshares, Inc., he assumed his current role at First National Community Bank, leading the combined organization, where he continues to guide strategic growth and a strong commitment to community banking.
Earnest has served in various leadership roles in the banking industry. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Georgia Bankers Association and will be installed as Vice Chairman in June 2026. In October of 2025, he was named President-Elect of the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University, where he also serves on the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees. A graduate of the program, Earnest is deeply committed to advancing banking education and developing the next generation of industry leaders.
In addition to his industry leadership, Earnest is deeply engaged in community and economic development initiatives. He currently serves as Chairman of the Development Authority of Floyd County and past Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Rome/Floyd County YMCA, where he serves as a current board member. He also serves on the Boards of Directors for the Georgia Bankers Association Insurance Trust, Inc., Paragon Benefits, Inc., the University of West Georgia Athletic Foundation, and the Chieftains Museum.
His past leadership includes serving as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Floyd Healthcare Foundation and the South Rome Redevelopment Corporation, as well as board service with the Rome-Floyd Chamber of Commerce, Seven Hills Rotary Club, and the Rome/Floyd County Commission on Children and Youth. Additionally, Heritage First Bank was honored with the prestigious “Heart of the Community” Corporate Award in 2016 during his tenure.
Earnest holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from West Georgia College and a diploma from the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University. His leadership is defined by a strong commitment to community banking, economic and workforce development, and creating long-term value for customers, employees, and the communities the bank serves.
